Corinna Salomon has studied German philology and historical linguistics at the Universities of Vienna and Oslo. After a pre-doc post at the Viennese Department of Linguistics, she is currently working, at the same department, in the project Thesaurus Inscriptionum Raeticarum, creating a database and online edition of the Raetic inscription corpus. In addition, she is a member of the editorial team of Die Sprache – Zeitschrift für Sprachwissenschaft.

Her research interests lie in the area of epigraphy and grammatology, i.e. alphabet history, the Runic script, and the mechanics of the diffusion and borrowing of writing.
