Sindy Kluge is Magistra Artium (M.A.) in Ancient Studies (Classical Archaeology and Ancient History) and Italian Studies. She studied at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Germany, as well as the Università degli studi Firenze, Italy. In 2009 she has graduated the Master's Programme with the Master's Thesis “Griechische Mythen auf etruskischen Spiegeln - Die Helden Herakles, Perseus, Bellerophon und Theseus mit einem Exkurs: Die Etruskerinnen - Trägerinnen der etruskischen Kultur?”. From November 2005 to September 2011 she was student resp. research assistant in the DFG-funded project “Neuedition der Etruskischen Texte”, directed by Prof. Dr. Gerhard Meiser (Seminar for Indo-European Studies and general linguistics, Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Germany). In 2010 she became research fellow in the the VW-funded project “Edition des Mittelarmenischen Wörterbuchs von J. Karst”, directed by Prof. Dr. Gerhard Meiser and Prof. Dr. Armenuhi Drost-Abgarjan (Seminar for Indo-European Studies and general linguistics as well as at the Seminar for Eastern Christianity and Byzantium, Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Germany). Since September 2013 research assistant in the FWF-funded project Thesaurus Inscriptionum Raeticarum, directed by Assoz. Prof. Dr. Stefan Schumacher (Department of Linguistics, University of Vienna, Austria). In this project primarily in charge of the objects and further contexts related to the objects like sites or repositories etc. as well as occupied with literature research.

Her research interests are focused into the Etruscology and Italic Ancient Studies, in particular into the etruscan influence on other peoples in Ancient Italy, iconography of depictions of myths and the analysis as well as interpretation of depictions related to social significance.
